Lone Star Banners and Flags has been making custom flags for over 60 years. The company began as ABC Flag Manufacturing, founded in 1960 by Fred and Helen Englehart.

 

Initially, Mr. Englehart sold strands of pennants to car lots. Helen sewed the pennants in their garage during the week and Fred installed them on the weekends. When the war in Viet Nam ramped up, people began asking for Texas flags for the young soldiers as they were deployed. A short time later, the Engleharts were able to lease a building just north of downtown Fort Worth on the North Freeway to expand their production.

 

Over the years ABC Flag Manufacturing continued to add new products, and it evolved into a full line flag and banner company. The Engleharts retired in 1995 and a group of local investors bought the company. In the fall of 1998, we moved to South Main Street, just south of downtown Dallas/Fort Worth.

 

In August of 2009, we assumed the name of Lone Star Banners and Flags, and we continue to operate under that name today. Then in 2017, we moved to our current location on Airport Freeway, just a few miles east of Fort Worth in Haltom City. We offer a full line of flags, flagpoles, banners, and all sorts of promotional products, as well as providing installation and repair services, and the great personal service the Englehart's founded the business on.
